Indre Srebaliute works in still and moving image – it’s research, direction, and production. Her practice combines image direction, interdisciplinary research and concept development.

With a background in industrial and social design at Design Academy Eindhoven, Indre brings a research-led approach to visual storytelling. She began her career assisting art directors in advertising production in Vilnius, which later led to working with renowned image production studios in London. She joined the Design Museum as a Curatorial Assistant to Eszter Steierhoffer before transitioning to assisting photographers and producers in the fashion industry. Drawing on her time as a Design Researcher for Gainsbury and Whiting – fashion show pioneers known for their groundbreaking work with Alexander McQueen – Indre now focuses on making imagery herself.

Additionally, she offers campaign concept development, visual research and object sourcing across art, design, literature, fashion, and architecture. The image research approach, meant to inform the concept development phase for clients, is focused on seeking visual material from respected archives, such as the British Library, Tate Library, and National Art Library. Recognising that an over-reliance on collective inspiration platforms often leads to aesthetic monotony that is seen in the creative industry today, she seeks inspiration not only beyond contemporary art direction, but also beyond the client’s industry. By doing so, Indre aims to inform more authentic creative outcomes.
